Paush Mah Purnima Special
According to Sanatan Dharma, Lord Shiva is revered as “Devo Ke Dev Mahadev” (Lord of Lords). He is a deity who is easily pleased by his devotees and fulfills their every desire. The Mahamrityunjay Mantra is considered the most supreme and beneficial way to seek his blessings. The significance of this mantra can be understood by the story of Moon God (Chandra Dev), who chanted it to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings and received the boon of good health.
As per ancient scriptures, when the Mahamrityunjay Mantra is chanted along with a havan dedicated to Lord Shiva, its effects are greatly magnified. It is believed that the Mahamrityunjay Mantra Jaap combined with Rudra Abhishek and Havan bestows blessings of health, protection, and safety from unforeseen mishaps.
In Sanatan Dharma, Lord Dhanvantari is regarded as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the provider of health and well-being. According to a legend, during the Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean), Lord Dhanvantari emerged and prayed to Lord Vishnu for a place. Lord Vishnu blessed him, saying that he would be born in the royal lineage in the next Dwapar Yuga to advance Ayurveda.
Lord Dhanvantari gained his knowledge of Ayurveda from Sage Bharadwaj and divided it into eight branches. He was renowned for his comprehensive understanding of all medical treatments. Worshiping Lord Dhanvantari is thus considered highly auspicious for health and well-being.
To celebrate the auspicious beginning of the New Year, Shri Dhaamm is organizing a grand spiritual event, which includes:
